June 11,2009

I am home..So I was admitted into the L&D to be induced on Monday morning at 7 45. The dr and nurses decided not to start me on the pit for that moment and they were going to try another medicine called Sydatek to help me progress.... They gave me my first dose at 8:30 Am My second at 12:30 I was checked only progressed to a 2 1/2. I had a third dose at 4:30 and Fourth at 8:30. Was checked at 12:00 Am Tuesday morning and still no more progression. At around 12:30 Am (30 minutes later) I felt something leak outta me...and it wasnt A whole lot...but it was A lot to me. They checked to see if my water was broken with a strip and it turned blue immediatly...but they said sometimes the gel can turn it blue... but then after a few leaks and some of it being with blood and some with pink...they realized my water was broken or leaking. they gave me some Nobain to help me sleep...and said that if I didnt go by 7PM on June 9th that they would have to do a c/s because of risk of infection. At around 8:30 AM they started pit. I started to contract and after 3 hours of PIT. i was like GET ME MY EPI...I was crying it hurt so bad...and i had major back pain! So i got my epi and got a little nap. At around 1PM I was still a 2 1/2 and he said my bag of water was still there bulging but it had a hole in it...so he broke my water. and then said "well your now a 3 and 90 percent effaced>" They inserted an INTERNAL contraction monitor so they can see how much they should up the pit...(they wanted the intensity to increase) At around 2:00PM the NURSE checked me and said I was a 4! I was like "well least i am progressing" I slept a little more (the epi felt good!) At around 3:30 PM the nurse checked me again and was like "You are almost complete...your a 9" and not even 30 minutes later i started pushing The head was like heck to get out and My EPI wore off b4 i got the head out.... 1 hour and 19 minutes of pushing.
